The Biggest Solar farm in the Philippines - San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

The Biggest Solar farm in the Philippines.

As per SaCaSol's website, the recently inaugurated phase 1 project last May 15, 2014 will provide 13 MW(net output 11.7 MW) and 9 MW(net output 8.1 MW) for the phase 2 project.

But the building of Solar Farms in Negros Island doesn't stop in San Carlos City,
they are also investing a P1.8 billion solar farm project that will be built in La Carlota City with the capacity of 18 MW and more in Manapla town and Bais City.

I liked what the President of SaCaSol had said. . .

We are focusing first here in Negros in response to the call of DOE and Governor Alfredo G. Marañon for the province to be a clean energy capital of the country.  We make sure we first meet the growing needs of power in Negros, Bacolod, Dumaguete, Iloilo and Cebu before going into other parts of the country,” said Jose Maria Zabaleta Jr., President of SaCaSol

One thing that catches the eye of business investors is that sustainable basic infrastructures/needs are are readily available such as roads, clean potable water supply, and uninterruptible electricity.

SaCaSol in on the right path of putting their investments in Negros island and in the Visayas area, soon in the future there will be more jobs here which also means lots of opportunities or options not just for the Negrenses, but even also for the neighboring islands of Guimaras, Panay, Siquijor, and Cebu.
