30th Negros Trade Fair: Truly Negros

Being a Negrense living in Metro Manila is sometimes depressing especially when you miss all the good stuffs back at home, the. Island of Negros.

But thank God there is Negros Trade Fair, to take away that homesickness feeling in you. It is the longest running provincial trade fair in the Philippines. Same as with Bacolod's Masskara Festival, it was born with a purpose to alleviate the poverty of Negros sugar farm workers in the 80's.

With the help of the first traders, the Ayala Land Inc., and then former Governor Daniel "Bitay" Lacson; the first trade fair was a success and so is the future trade fairs to come.

The trade fair not only attracts Negrenses, but might as well other Filipinos. The event highlights the creativity, love of food, artistic products that Negros has to offer. But more than that, it shows how we truly love our home, Negros.
