King of Volcanoes in the Visayas: Mt. Kanlaon

Mt. Kanlaon is the highest peak in the Visayas region, Philippines. An active volcano and recently the PHIVOLCS has raised the Alert level to 1 and issued a warning to the nearby residents not to enter the 4KM danger zone.

Hinigaran's Best Oyster

In a small town called Hinigaran, 52 km south of the City of Bacolod in the Island of Negros, people love to eat oyster or we call it in the local Hiligaynon language as talaba.

But many Negrenses didn't know that oysters in the Philippines were first introduced by the Americans in Hinigaran.

National Breakfast Day

On March 9, 2015, McDonald’s will be celebrating its biggest breakfast activation across Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa—National Breakfast Day.

In the Philippines, starting 6AM, all participating McDonald’s breakfast stores nationwide are joining the celebration of National Breakfast Day as a way of saying “thank you” to its customers. Close to 400,000 McMuffin sandwiches will be given away for free.

Each participating McDonald’s breakfast store will be giving away 1000 free McMuffin sandwiches starting 6:00AM at a first-come-first-serve basis via Dine-In, Take-Out, and Drive-Thru.
